Frozen octopus tentacles: the prime cut, without waste

The tentacle is the most valued part of the octopus and the cut that features on most menus: grilled, seared on the plancha or served on a potato purée. Buying tentacles only removes the head and the cleaning from the equation, gives tighter control over cost per portion and ensures consistent pieces every service.

Our octopus tentacles are supplied raw and frozen, so each kitchen applies its own cooking. If you need the whole animal to cook and serve intact, you will find whole octopus and gutted flower octopus in our frozen octopus range.

150 to 250 gram pieces for portion control

At 150 to 250 grams per tentacle, each piece has real presence on the plate and is easy to portion: one or two tentacles per cover depending on the style of service. That consistent size simplifies recipe costing and purchasing for restaurants, contract catering and central kitchens.

For processors, uniform pieces make batch cooking, vacuum packing and ready-meal production easier. Because the product is raw, the customer controls final texture and seasoning, which is essential when working to in-house recipes or private-label specifications.

How to thaw and cook octopus tentacles

Store the tentacles at −18 °C or below and thaw them slowly in a cold room at 0–4 °C. Freezing helps break down part of the muscle fibre, so with the right cooking the meat stays tender. Once cooked, they can be finished on the grill or plancha just before service.

Do not refreeze raw product once thawed. Packaging, glazing and carton weight are set to each customer's specification; include yours when you request a quote from this page or via our contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Are the octopus tentacles raw or cooked?

They are raw and frozen, so each customer applies their own cooking and controls the final texture. If your process starts from the whole animal, we also supply ungutted whole octopus in sizes T1 to T8.

How much does each tentacle weigh?

Each piece weighs approximately 150 to 250 grams, a size designed for portioning in foodservice and for consistent industrial processing.

How should frozen octopus tentacles be thawed?

Ideally, thaw them slowly in a cold room at 0–4 °C and cook them afterwards. Once thawed, they should not be refrozen raw.

Why buy tentacles instead of whole octopus?

You only pay for the part you serve: no head or viscera, less handling in the kitchen, easier cost-per-portion calculations and consistent pieces every service.

Can I request specific packing?

Yes. Packaging type, glazing and carton weight are defined to your specification. Include it when you request a quote and we will prepare a tailored proposal.
